Israel Hotels
Israel, in the Middle East, is located on the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and is bordered by Egypt and the Gaza Strip to the South and Syria and Lebanon to the North. A country steeped in History, Religion and Disputes, Israel is undoubtedly a fascinating destination and politics aside, offers a variety of activities and attractions from the stunning scenery and ruins at Masada and the Negev Desert to the beach resorts of Eilat and Tiberias at the Sea of Galilee, the chance to float on the Dead Sea and the hiking trails at Ein Gedi National Park. Israel’s capital city, Jerusalem is a fascinating mix of the ancient and the new, with districts such as the UNESCO Heritage site of the Old City contrasting with the modern, urban and commercial West Jerusalem and a wealth of historical ruins, museums, places of worship and organised tours for visitors. Tel-Aviv is the country’s second largest and most cosmopolitan city and has a thriving cultural scene and nightlife with world class restaurants, shopping, bars and clubs and beach parties running through the night during summer. The Old City and Port district of Jaffa is home to lively markets, whilst the city’s stunning Bauhaus architecture has gained UNESCO World Heritage status.
It is possible to travel to the Disputed Territories of the Golan Heights and Palestinian Territories but tourists are recommended to stick to the main metropolitan areas and popular visitor sites.

Places to visit in Israel
Here are three suggestions of places to base your visit to Israel
Tel Aviv- Jaffa
On the Mediterranean coast, between the Yarkon the Avalon Rivers is the lively active city with culture and art, festivals and nightlife. Jaffa, where Tel Aviv began, is the ancient 3000-year-old city to the southwest- the current Old City being built by the Ottoman Empire, which now has a picturesque artist and tourist quarter. See Gan HaPisga, the Summit Garden with restaurants, galleries and shops, also there are several Christian sites such as the 17th Century Church of Saint Peter and the tomb of Tabitha.
The Negev Wine Route
In the arid Negev Desert, an hour south of Tel Aviv, is the centre of a wine-making industry - growing Cabernet, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz - and more, the grapes ripen beautifully in the hot sun. Some vineyards are on the deserts edge, and others in the Yatir Forest. See the vineyards at Kibbutz Sde Boker, and family farms near the Nabatean ruins of Avdat and Nitzana.
The Sea of Galilee (The Kineret Lake)
The Kineret is the largest of Israels fresh water reservoirs - and is an excellent tourist centre. The beaches and landscapes surrounding the lake can be quite different. Above the east and west shores rise the Galilee mountains and the foothills of the Golan, north the Beit Tsida valley, and south the Jordan estuary. So, some of the beaches have soft sand, some are rocky, and some are wider than others - but all offer many tourist attractions. There are beachfront hotels and there are many kinds of water sports on offer including the water parks of Luna Gal, Tsemakh or Gai Beach.
