In Western Asia sits the country of Lebanon, situated on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and bordered by Syria and Israel. With the first known inhabitants to be around 7000 years ago, the country also has a rich archaeological history, which is a big pull for tourists as there are many archaeological sites that have been excavated and are available for visiting.

Lebanon also has many World Heritage Sites, from historical sites to forests. There are daily flights from Heathrow to Beirut available from different airlines with the flights taking around 5 hours.
