United Kingdom Hotels
The United Kingdom is so-called because it IS a kingdom comprising of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, united as one. Located just off the north-western coast of continental Europe and separated from it by the English Channel, the UK has a monarchy much admired the world over. English is the main language spoken by the population of around sixty two million people, but there are also the Celtic languages of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the Channel Islands. The UK boasts the world's sixth-largest economy. Traditionally the different sections of the UK have their own culture, sights and foods.
In Scotland (where the temperature is cooler than in England), there’s the kilt, bagpipes, Robbie Burns and Haggis to try. In Wales there are rolling hills, Welsh Lamb, choral song and a thriving music scene. Northern Ireland’s dance heritage, traditional music and great scenery are not to be missed.
While in England, the excitement of the capital city London’s theatre land, museums, Tower of London and the Thames draw many visitors. Rural England is a treasure trove of fantastic scenery. Visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-on-Avon or go surfing down south in Devon or Cornwall.
It’s a green and pleasant land.

Places to visit in United Kingdom
Here are three places you may want to base your visit;
London
There is so much to see in London it is unlikely the first-time visitor will have time to move anywhere else in the country. Whether its the pomp and history surrounding the monarch - the Crown Jewels in the Tower or the Changing of the Guard - or the modern sights such as the London Eye -or the rich culture of galleries and theatres there is just so much to see
Edinburgh
Not just as a centre, but a brilliant historical compact city (so easy to walk about) - visit in August and see the most exciting show - the Edinburgh Festival as well as the architecture.
Snowdonia
As a centre for mountain hiking, cycling and outdoor sports, as well as the most beautiful scenery, Snowdonia in Wales has few rivals.
