Aomori-ken Hotels Japan

AOMORI-KEN is located in the Tohoku Region, Japan. When visiting this region make sure to see the Ou Mountains, a crater lake called Lake Towada and the capital, Aomori which means blue forest. It is historic and interesting with culture from prehistory to the present. There are ten cities in the region and various towns, villages to explore. The Hirosaki City Castle is fabulous and a reminder of the Edo period whilst a trip to Mount Osore, the Mountain of Dread, offers spectacular scenery.

There is a legend that Christ did not die on the cross but became a rice farmer in Shingo Aomori and this is backed up by the discovery of ‘ancient Hebrew’ documents detailing his life here. Aomori Nebuta is a festival in August and has 100 soundscapes of Japan. There are ruins, mountains and some hot spas.

See the Asamushi Aquarium and the Folk museum. For a cheap, above average business hotel try Hotel Sun route Aomori. It is a 3 star hotel and has fairly good reviews.

Dormy Inn, Hirosaki is a 3 star hotel with good reviews. Towada Prince Hotel is in Kosaka and on Lake Towada and is 3 star. Hachinohe Grand Hotel, Aomori, good reviews and good value.
