Attica Hotels Greece

Attica is a district and peninsula of Greece that includes the country’s capital, Athens. It protrudes into the Aegean Sea and many of its towns and cities have a stretch of beautiful, rugged coastline. Attic a generally has many beaches, tombs, burial sites, and archaeological sites of interest. Delphi has a large beach as well as being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the small village of Fyli, visitors will find many caves to explore, and Christian sites of worship.

The small town of Phyle has a large castle with an observations deck, giving its visitors an impressive panoramic view of the town and its surroundings, a convent set amongst caves, and Monument Hill of the Muses, which is dedicated to ancient Greek muses. The town of Marathon has a large picturesque beach as well as a military museum and the peaceful Lake Marathon, which is a popular relaxation spot. Slightly further afield lie many mountain ranges in addition to Parnis National Park, which is set around the mountain that shares its name.

The majority of Attica’s popular hotels are situated in Athens. The AVA Hotel Athens offers spacious, airy suites and is handsomely situated at the foot of the Acropolis. Breakfast is plentiful and is included in the room price.

Hadrians Gate is visible from some suites as well as the Acropolis and the hotel is situated close to the main shopping streets of the city. Room rates are expensive but not completely unaffordable and the excellent service, location and amenities at the hotel are certainly value for money. The four-star O&B Athens Boutique Hotel is opulent and luxurious in equal measure.

It offers free breakfast, a large bar area, free internet connection, and a free shuttle bus service. Suites are spacious and decorated in an elaborate, contemporary way that is very chic. The hotel is set on a busy street close to shops and restaurants, although it also has its own restaurant that overlooks the street.

It is rather expensive, but not overpriced for a four-star hotel in the area. Attica as a region has a varied nightlife but pubs, bars and clubs are very easy to come across in all of the larger towns and cities.
