Georgia Hotels United States

Georgia can be found in the south-eastern region of the United States, its borders are with Florida in the south, South Carolina and the Atlantic Ocean are on the eastern side. To the north is Tennessee and North Carolina while to the west is Alabama. Atlanta is the capital city while other major cities include Augusta, Columbus and Roswell. The climate in this state is humid subtropical which gives it warm to hot summers with high humidity levels and mild to cool winters. The highest temperature recorded in the state was 44 degrees and the coldest was -27 degrees.

Tornados are common place in this state and it is the one that has the highest number of hits per year, although most tend to be F1 in strength so they do very little damage. Attractions in Atlanta include the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, the Atlanta History Centre, the NEW World of Coca-Cola and the Zoo.

You can also take a tour of the CNN Centre and Studios, the Georgia Aquarium and the SweetWater Brewery. In Roswell there is the spooky yet fun Roswell Ghost Day Tour, Andretti Indoor Karting and Games, Two Doors Art Gallery and the Chattahoochee Nature Centre. Columbus has the National Infantry Museum, the Coca-Cola Museum, the Coca-Cola Space Science Centre and the quirky Lunch Box Museum.

Savannah is another popular destination and has Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace, Old Fort Jackson and the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. In addition to this there is the University of Georgia's Marine Education Centre and Aquarium, Monkey Joe’s which is a entertainment centre and the Skidaway Island State Park.

In the capital there are a number of hotels such as the one star Knights Inn and the two star Quality Hotel Downtown. A three star hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown while for a four star hotel there is the Ellis Hotel. If only five stars will do then there is the The Mansion on Peachtree- A Rosewood Hotel & Residence.

Savannah has the one star Travelodge and the two star Super 8 Savannah. A three star hotel is the Cambria Suites Savannah Airport, while at four stars there is the Hamilton-Turner Inn.
