Hebei Sheng Hotels China

Hebei Sheng is a province in the northern part of China. Its name actually means “north of the (Yellow) River”. The weather is characteristically “continental monsoon”, with temperatures in the range of -16 to -3 °C in the winter and 20 - 27 °C in the summer. Beijing is almost completely bordered by Hebei Sheng, from the north, south, and west sides. While Beijing might be one of the most popular tourist destinations in this region, there are a number of equally inviting tourist spots within Hebei Sheng.

A few of the most notable locations are Shanhaiguan, Tangshan, Zhengding and Chengde. In Shanhaiguan, you can visit part of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, specifically the far eastern portion up to the “Old Dragon’s Head”, where the wall meets the Pacific Ocean. In the city of Tangshan, a popular tourist attraction is the Jingzhong Mountain.

This is a religious shrine where Buddhists, Taoists, and believers of Confucianism go to worship. Here, you will also find the Eastern Qing Dynasty Tombs. Zhengding is the place to go for a fascinating tour of some of the oldest historical sites around like the Changle Gate, which is dated early in the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-581 AD) and the Linji Temple that was built during the Eastern Wei Dynasty in 540 A.

Chengde is probably one of the largest and most popular touristic cities in Hebei Sheng. One of its most unique attractions is the Chengde Mountain Resort, which started being built in 1703 and was not completed until 1790.

In fact, the Chengde Mountain Resort is the largest royal garden in China, where Qing dynasty emperors used to go to relax during the summer time. With vast landscapes of beautiful scenery, this is one of the most relaxing resorts in China. The entire location is made up of lakes, plains, and hills that take up the largest portion of the area.

While the natural beauty is breathtaking, there are hundreds of sites to visit, namely palaces and temples built atop the rolling hills. The best place to stay at in Hebei Sheng is at a hotel, which has a full range of 2, 3, and 4 star ratings to choose from. There are over 200 hotels in this popular Chinese province, many with direct views of the sea and others conveniently situated more inland.
