Jiangsu Sheng Hotels China

Jiangsu Sheng is a province on the east coast of China. There are a number of separate areas in the district and the most interesting for tourists are Nanjing, Suzhou and Zhenjiang. The major tourist centres in this region are the Yangtze River area, Lake Taihu and the Xuhuai Area. Nanjing offers a wide selection of historic sites such as Nanjing Confucius temple, Yangtze River Bridge, Purple Mountain and the Purple Mountain Observatory. If you stroll around Zhonghua gate this is the largest castle style city gate in the whole of China.

A trip to Nanjing will provide you with a wealth of information about China’s architectural and also military traditions. Suzhou is sometimes referred to as Paradise on Earth and is a popular ancient water city. It is probably most famous for the Chinese Classical gardens.

There are 9 gardens in this historic city and they have World Heritage Status. The most popular gardens include Master-of- Nets garden (Wangshi Yuan), Surging Waves Pavilion (Canglang Pavilion) and the Lingering garden (Liuyan). Suzhou is also the best place for tea-drinking and tea-leaves collection.

Xishan (West Mountain) and Dongshan (East Mountain) are the most famous mountains for tea culture tours. Zhouzhuang is situated close to Suzhou and boasts impressive waterways and ancient bridges to rival Venice. Shuangqiao (twin Bridges) and Fuanqiao Bridge are the most popular bridges in this area.

Lake Taihu is the third biggest freshwater lake in the whole of China and is home to the world’s tallest Buddha statue. Wuxi is known as the Pearl of Lake Taihu and has a long history of about 3,000 years. There are many choices of hotels in this district that will suit a variety of budgets.

There are budget hotels such as City Inn Nanjing Confucius Temple and Starway Yijia Kaiyuan Hotel which offer basic accommodation but are good value for money. Mid-range hotels include Gusu hotel and Holiday Inn Express Suzhou Changjiang in Suzhou district. A luxury option would be the Suzhou Sheraton Hotel and Towers which is a 5 star highly recommended hotel with beautifully landscaped gardens, pagodas and a quaint tea room.

This also has a great location being in the heart of Suzhou city centre.
