Jiangxi Sheng Hotels China
The province Jiangxi (Sheng) is located in Southern China, is centred in the Gan River Valley with the River Yangtze running alongside. Surrounded by mountains on 3 sides’ the Jiuling, Luoxiou and Mufu mountains on the West, the Wuyi and the Huaiyu Mountains on the East and the Dayu and Jiulian Mountains to the South, this a beautiful, scenic region of China. The climate here is subtropical with cool winters and very hot summers. The main cities in the province include: Nanchang (the capital), Jiujiang, Ji’an, Pingxiang, Jingdezhen, Yingtan, Fuzhou and Ganzhou. The Zhejiang-Jianxi Railway runs through the province connecting Zhuzhou and Hangzhou, and the North Nanchang airport services both internal and international flights.
Nanchang – with both its modern, industrial ways and historic past linked together forms a vibrant bustling capital city. There are hotels, restaurants and bars a-plenty for visitors to enjoy. Travelling around the city is straight-forward with a multitude of public transport including buses and trains as well as the water transportation providing the opportunity to explore further afield as the Gan river runs directly through the city.
Nanchang is home to two important Buddhist temples (Donglin (East Wood) Temple and the Tiefo Temple. Longhushan is just outside the city of Yingtan. The mountains are home to many smaller villages, while the caves attract visitors from all around.
Mount Longhushan is a sacred Taoist mountain and is thought to be the birthplace of Taoism; making it a popular place for pilgrims to visit throughout the year. The Lushan National Park is only 22km from Jiujiang and is a designated Unesco World Heritage Site, encompassing over 90 mountain peaks in its borders. There are many attractions here; the Wulao Feng, Sandie Spring, Lulin Lake to name a few; all with their own unique natural beauty which will inspire any visitor.
There are so many sites to visit in this province of China, offering something for everyone that you really will be spoilt for choice. The historic buildings and temples mixed with the natural landscapes provide an atmosphere of tranquility whilst the cities provide vibrant nightlife, and shopping heaven in the traditional, local markets.
