Missouri Hotels United States
Missouri is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is flanked by Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee on its eastern side, to its west there is Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. Iowa makes up its northern border while Arkansas is at its southern border. The landscape here is varied and ranges from low flat lands in the south-eastern region of the state to rolling hills in the north. The main rivers here are the Missouri River which also stretches into Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.
The Mississippi and Meramec rivers also run through this state. The climate in this state has been classified as humid continental; this means it has hot and heavy summers followed by cold winters. However the further south you go the more the climate beings to resemble that of a humid sub-tropical region.
Missouri is known as the gateway to the west and as such the Gateway arch in St. Louis is a popular tourist attraction in itself. Some of the notable places to visit include the ever popular Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum in Branson.
Also in Branson there is the Buffalo River Zip Lines, Branson Ridge Winery, Castle of Chaos and the Branson Dinosaur Museum. The state’s capital Jefferson City has the following on offer, the Cole County Historical Museum, Missouri State Capitol building and the Governor’s Mansion. St.
Louis attractions include the Black World History Museum, the St. Louis Walk of Fame, the Gateway Arch, the Omnimax Theater and Planetarium and the Saint Louis Science Centre. In Springfield there is the Wonders of Wildlife, Crystal Cave, the Discovery Centre of Springfield and 1984 Arcade theme park.
In Kearney there is the Jesse James Farm and Museum where you can see where this famous outlaw was born and raised, his original tombstone is on display as well as other artefacts of interest. Hotels in the state start at the one star ratings and these include the Knights Inn and Suites in Branson and Best Western’s Deerfield Inn in Springfield. While at two stars there is the Americas Best Value Inn in St.
Louis’ Downtown region and the Days Inn Kansas City-Worlds of Fun in Kansas. Three star hotels include the Millennium Hotel St. Louis and the Embassy Suites Kansas City Plaza.
Four star accommodations include the Hampton Inn Branson on the Strip and the Moonrise Hotel in St. Louis. A five star offering is the Palace View Resort by Spinnaker in Branson.
