Nagano-ken Hotels Japan

Nagano-ken is a prefecture of Japan, located in the Ch?bu region on the main island of Honsh?. The area is the furthest away from the ocean in Japan and the capital city is Nagano. There are nine of Japan’s highest mountains within its boundaries. One of the world’s highest Geysers lies within the boundaries of Nagano-ken, in Suwa which is also home to a stunning Lake area. Situated near ?machi, Nagano, Lake Kizaki is truly beautiful and you will enjoy a natural peace around its waters.

Take time to look over Matsumoto Castle (in Matsumoto) - one of Japan’s national treasures and well worth a visit. It’s known as a “Hirajiro, or castle built on a plain. Nagano-ken is also home to Mount Kirigamine in Honshu.

The tallest grass-covered peak is Mount Kuruma and offers some amazing views of the area. Visit Nagano City in Nagano-ken, to see the atmospheric Zenk?-ji temple. Sample all things “Tofu” at the Tofu Café Gorokutei restaurant, in the capital city Nagano.

Traditional “Ramen” fare is served at the Ramen Kameva restaurant where Chinese style noodles and miso are popular with locals and tourists alike. Reasonably priced accommodation can be found in Japanese-style Ryokan’s in Nagano-ken. Why not try one which is also home to some nearby Hot springs? The Nakanoyu Onsen Ryokan or Kiriya Ryokan come recommended.
