Navarre Hotels Spain

Navarre is located in the northern region of Spain. It has borders with Basque in the west, Rioja in the south and Aragon in the east, France makes up the final border in the north. The capital of this region is Pamplona, which is a fortified city. The terrain in this region is varied from Pyrenees that cover most of the region to the plains of the Ebro river valley in the south of the region. The highest peak in this area is Hiru Erregeen Mahaia which tops out at 2,428 meters.

The climate here is temperate with warm summers and mild winters. In the capital there are many places to visit such as a number of fantastic churches all of which were built between the 16th and 18th centuries. The main one is the Pamplona Cathedral was built in the 14th century while the other two main gothic churches were built in the 13th century, Saint Sernin and Saint Nicholas.

There is also the Museo del Encierro Museum, Museo de Navarra both are museums. There are a number of public parks in the city such as Taconera park which is the oldest and Yamaguchi park which has a Japanese garden in it. Bardenas Reales de Navarro is a park which is in an arid desert region of Navarre, there are a number of famous landmarks in the park such as Castildetierra.

In the 1950’s this area was used for the backdrop for many spaghetti westerns and in 2000 UNESCO declared this area as a Biosphere reserve. Hotels in this region include the two star Hotel Burlada inBurlada and the three star AH San Fermin Suites in Pamplona and the Villa de Castejon in Castejon.
