New Hampshire Hotels United States
New Hampshire is a state in the north-eastern region of the United States in the area commonly known as New England. The state is bordered by Maine to its north east, Vermont to its west and Massachusetts to its south. The major features to New Hampshire include the Great North Woods, the White Mountains, the Lakes Region, Merrimack Valley and the Seacoast. The White Mountains lies in the north central region of the state and its tallest peak is Mount Washington. The Merrimack Valley is home to the river of the same name and it cuts the state in a north to south direction finishing up in Massachusetts.
The climate here is humid continental with warm and sticky summers usually followed by wet and cold winters. During July the average state temperature is somewhere between 24 to 28 degrees, on the flip side in January the average temperature is 1 degree with lows of -18 during the night. New Hampshire is a wonderful place to visiting during the winter months as there is good snow coverage and a trip to the state wouldn’t be complete without seeing Santa’s Village which is in the Great North Woods in the town of Jefferson.
There is the Conway Scenic Railroad and Mount Washington’s Cog railway which takes you t the top of the state’s highest peak. There is the Lost River Gorge and the Polar Caves Park where you can explore a series of stunning caves. The capital city of Concord has a number of excellent attractions such as visiting the United States oldest capitol building, the Silk Farm Wildlife Sanctuary and Audubon Centre, McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Centre and the Museum of New Hampshire History.
The state also has a number of winter activities on offer such as cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice skating, sleigh rides, skiing and snowboarding as well as snow tubing. This is truly the state for all seasons with something for everyone at any time of year. Hotels in the capital are the two star Comfort Inn, the three star Holiday Inn and the four star Centennial Inn.
In Jackson in the White Mountains there is the three star Nordic Village Resort and the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa. New London hotels include the three star Inn at Pleasant Lake and The New London Inn. There are countless hotels and B&B’s across the state so finding the perfect accommodation will be very easy.
