Ningxia Huizu Zizhiqu Hotels China

Ningxia (Ningxia Hui Autonomous region) in China is located in the North West of the country. The Great Wall of China runs along the regions northeastern boundary and the region sits on the Loess Plateau with its common dusty soil and Tengger desert covering much of the region and China's second longest river, the Yellow River runs through large swathes of the land. Ningxia's neighbouring provinces are Shaanxi, Gansu and Inner Mongolia and its capital city Yinchuan has a population of around 750,000 people. It is also known as Phoenix City, was once the capital of the Xia Dynasty and is today deemed a historical and cultural city by the Chinese state, and hosts a wealth of Chinese-Islam artefacts. The city is also a growing industrial city and has historically been a trade route due to its central location within China.

Local attractions include the Mount Sumera Grottoes which sit at the foot of the Xumi Mountain and run for just over a mile; the Western Xia Tombs which are around 18 miles to the west of Yinchuan in the Xixia Wangling National Park; the One Hundred and Eight Pagodas (also known as 108 Dagobas) which are located in Qingtongxia City and the Helan Mountain (Helan Shan) which is a peaceful summer resort location. The Ningxia Great Wall section is around 60 kilometres south of Yinchuan New Town and is undeveloped and located on the edge of desert, so visitors can walk around without restraint but be aware that there are no tourist facilities here. In Yinchuan city, its very safe to walk around and explore the differing neighbourhoods and the main square is the place to head to kick off your evening.

Xinhua Street at the centre of the Old Town is the shopping and entertainment centre of the city. Streets around the Universities in the New Town also houses bars and clubs too. There are plenty of hotels to choose from, from budget options for around £30 per night up to £100 per night and above for an international-grade hotel such as the Kempinski Hotelm which is located near the International Conference and Exhibition Centre, as well as the Museum of Ningxia, the Science and Technology Museum and the People's Square.
