Toyama-ken Hotels Japan

Toyama-ken is situated on the main island of Honshu; it lies in along the sea of Japan in the north-western region of the island. It has borders with Ishikawa to the west, Niigata to the northwest, Nagano to the southeast and Gifu lies to its south. Toyama is the capital of this prefecture while other main or notable cities include Takaoka, Uozu, Nanto, Kurobe and Himi. One of the most noteable sights in this prefecture is the Gokayama Historical Village in the city of Nanto, another point of interest is the Zuiry?-ji Temple in Takaoka City. There are many festivals throughout the year and some of the highlights include the Marumage Festival in Himi in Spring, the Sassa Narimasa Sengoku Era Festival which is held in late summer in the capital, the Kokiriko Festival in Nanto city during the autumn months and finally the Nanto Toga Soba Festival which is held in winter.

Accommodation in the capital is vast, ranging from lower end hotels such as the Wakyu and the Comfort Hotel to the more impressive realms of the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama and the White Bell. In Nanto there is the Omaki Spa, the Sakuragaike Kurgarden and the Akaokan as well as some lower end hotels such as the Business Hotel Asahi Ichibankan and the Nichima Club Amieux.
