Utah Hotels United States

Utah is located on the western side of the United States and is flanked by Colorado on its eastern side, Nevada to its west, a single corner connection to New Mexico, Arizona in the south and Idaho and Wyoming to the north. The state has three main topographies, the Rocky Mountains, the Great Basin and the Colorado Plains. The state has a wide range of habitats from arid deserts to lush green pine forests and it is one of the Four Corner States. From the northern central region there is the Wasatch Range which has elevation of around 12,000 feet and is a great place to ski. There is the Uinta Mountains that run from east to west and have heights of around 13,000 feet.

The major cities in this state include Salt Lake City which is the capital of the state, West Valley City, Sandy, Layton and Ogden. The climate in this state is semi arid which means that even when it is very hot the low humidity makes it bearable. Temperatures in summer can range from 20 to 33 degrees and the winter months range from -7 to 3 degrees.

The state has many attractions and these are just a few of them. For some family fun there is the Cherry Hill Water and Fun Park in Kaysville, there is not only water attractions but rock climbing, battling cages and a campground. Another family day out can be had at the Ogden Eccles Dinosaur Park which is at the mouth of the Ogden Canyon and has over a hundred life size robotic dinosaurs to see and touch.

For museums there is the Utah Museum of Natural History which has some dinosaur skeletons as well as geological displays. There is also the Antique Classic Automobile Museum and the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum. For buildings no visit to Utah would be complete without seeing the stunning Temple Square in Salt Lake City which pulls in millions of visitors every year.

There are also a number of lovely state parks such as the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Staricase National Monument and the Bryce Canyon National Park. Hotels in the state range from the one star Motel 6 in Moab and Wednover and rise up to five stars. Two star offerings include Best Western’s Mountain View Inn at Springville, the Downtown Rodeway Inn at Salt Lake City and the Sleep Inn at South Jordan.

For three stars there is the Super 8 in Blanding, the Royal Garden Inn Downtown in Salt Lake City and the Driftwood lodge in Springdale. Four star hotels include the Silver King Hotel in Park City, the Hilton in Salt Lake City Centre and the Majestic View Lodge in Springdale. Finally for five star luxury there is the Waldorf Astoria in Park City and the St.
