Yamaguchi-ken Hotels Japan

Located on the main Japanese Island of Honshu, in the Chugoku region is the visually stunning Yamaguchi-Ken, a prefecture brimming with a serenity that is so distinctly Japanese. Yamaguchi-Ken has a wide variety of small cities, all overflowing with the beautiful architecture so associated with Japan, while close enough to China for there to be some Chinese influences. One of the most popular attractions in the region is the castle city of Iwakuni, with its spectacular four tiered, 210m long bridge, originally built of wood for the sole use by Japan’s famous Samurai Warriors. Other sights that should not be missed include the Akama Jingu Shrine, Kaikyokan Aquarium, Kaikyou Yurne Tower, Hagi Castle, hike up Mount Shizuki to really appreciate this beautiful region, Ishii Chawan Museum and Hagi Museum. The Shirakabe No Machi district in Yanai offers some of Yamaguchi-Ken’s most beautiful architecture.

Hotel accommodations in Shimonseki comprise the Tokyu Inn, Dormy Inn Premium and Hotel Wing International which all have a 3 star rating. Yamaguchi, capital of the area offers 2 and 3 star accommodations such as the 2 star rated Hotel Nishi no Miyabi, or the Comfort Shin Hotel and Ana Hotel which both offer 3 star accommodations.
